INTERVIEW QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

How has life changed since you were picked for the role?

I’ve definitely become a lot more confident with acting and this role, as it's really encouraged me. I've also gained some great contacts and experience for the future.  

Have you worked with this director before?

No I haven't, but I wish I had! She is so brilliant, she gives me constructive criticism and  good industry advice to help with my career.

How do you feel about being a role model to younger people?

It’s such a brilliant feeling, knowing that you’ve impacted someone's life! I love getting messages from people saying that I’ve helped build their confidence or they’ve watched my show and felt so much enjoyment! It makes me feel warm inside. 

Who are your own role models?

Someone who immediately comes to mind is Maya Angelou - she's someone I look to as not only a brilliant actress, but also an author and mother. She is just the ultimate role model, who really paved the way for minorities. 

Are there any other actors you admire?

I also look up to Angelina Jolie for all her talent in this industry, as well as all the charity work she’s done. She is truly an inspiration.

Where will you be when the first episode airs?

I will be at home with my husband, watching the first episode with our puppy and eating popcorn - it'll be like a private premiere!

What was your favourite part of filming?

Working with the cast as well as the film crew; they were all brilliant, all helpful and it was so much fun!! Everyone worked together to create the best outcome and we're all so proud of one another. I've made some great friends who I hope to stay in contact with.

If you were to give advice to your younger self, what would you say?
Never give up! Keep doing what you love and stay motivated! If you keep working hard, despite the knock backs, then it will pay off. I promise.
